The Catie Wilkins Memorial Fund benefiting

The Catie Wilkins Memorial Fund benefiting CURE Childhood Cancer was established in memory of Catherine Marie Wilkins. Sweet Catie was diagnosed with medulloblastoma on her first birthday and fought hard for three and a half years before earning her hard-earned rest. The purpose of Catie’s Fund is to support life-saving research for pediatric cancers through CURE Childhood Cancer. CURE funds both basic and clinical research. Especially important is the research into the development of “targeted therapies.” These treatments focus only on the cancer cells, keeping surrounding healthy cells safe and unharmed. The goal of targeted therapy is to spare patients the devastating and often life-threatening “late effects” caused by current conventional therapies. Catie's Fund works to raise funds to support this invaluable research.
